Rivals is a for charity SFW digital fanzine focusing on all aspects of the relationship between Akechi and Joker from Persona 5.
Rivals will focus on all aspects of the relationship between Akechi and Joker. Fluff, Angst, Canon, AUs - anything goes! As long as it's focused on akeshuake, it's welcome in this zine!APPLICATION INFORMATION
All applicants must be 16+ at the time of application.
Applicants are expected to create one new piece of work for this fanzine. Reusing work that has already been published is not permitted.
All applicants must be willing to have and use a discord account, as this will be our primary method of communication for the zine.
Plagarism and use of AI in this zine is strictly prohibited. If you are caught using AI to create your piece, you will be removed from the zine.
Communication is key! If you need extra time or need to drop out, please let us know as soon as you can! This zine is for fun, but we all need to know what's going on!WRITERS
Writers will be asked to submit 2 - 4 of their best works, as well as an optional additional portfolio.
Writing will be judged on characterization, cohesion, and technical skill. We ask that at least one of your pieces is centered around Akeshuake.
Application submissions should be 1.5 - 3K words in length.
Excerpts of longer pieces are permitted, but they must be able to stand alone.ARTISTS

At least one sample should feature Akeshuake.
Digital and traditional art are both allowed, and will be judged following the same perameters.
Comic artists must have at least one example comic in their submitted works.
Merch artists must have at least one example of merch they have designed.

Hi, I'm Carissa! I'm 21 and use any pronouns, and I'm super excited to work on this zine! The Persona games and Akeshuake in general are so incredibly near and dear to my heart, and I can't wait to see this zine come together! Outside of fandom, I'm an actor and director. Working with other people to create works of art is my passion, and I'm so incredibly excited to do that here. My favorite akeshuake moment has to be their rank 8 duel and the subsequent Akechi Monologue after, though every single interaction with them Does make me want to gnaw at the bars of my enclosure lol.

I have been a fan of Shuake for a long time and am always down to talk/rant for hours about them. My favorite Shuake scene is 2/2, which breaks my heart every time, but something about Akechi being so honest and so raw and his third tier persona awakening being at Leblanc with Akira when everyone else’s is in their rooms idk it’s just so grgrgrgrgrgrggr i’m Crazy

This zine is for charity! Proof of donation to a charity of your choice ($5 or more) will grant you access to the zine upon release! There will also be optional donation links for contributors, but the zine itself will not be responsible for any money.How old do contributors have to be?

We are planning to accept 25-30 artists and 15-20 writers. In addition, we would like to include 5-10 guest creators!Will this zine include NSFW content?
